Why do web designers hate SEO so much?
Sometimes, while helping a client with their SEO campaign, I come into conflict with their web designers. In fact, sometimes designers an be downright hostile.
I think a lot of this is the result of siloing our web marketing efforts. Sure, SEO and web design are two different practice areas but there’s a lot of things that we both want. If we work together, we can help each other out and deliver better results for our clients.
Here are some specific things both web designers and SEOs both want. My goals:
- To convince designers that I’m not the enemy
- To show them that I can help them accomplish their goals, too
- To prevent the problem: putting web design and SEO into two separate buckets that end up in a conflict.
