Get Twitter Texts
I have always found it strange that Twitter allows you to receive texts from anybody’s replies but your own. So many people use texts with Twitter that it surprises me they did not offer this service.
I read somewhere recently that Twitter does not send texts for replies directed towards you because that would be too many texts- it would get really expensive really fast for Twitter. As a company who has yet to determine a method for making a profit- this is an important consideration.
We could be content never to get our Twitter replies by text, we could invest in a new smart phone and pop for the data plan, OR we could create a way around this problem. That is what I have done.
@FeedTwit allows you to get your Twitter messages as texts. No matter who sends a message to your Twitter account, if you follow FeedTwit, you will be able to get those replies by texts. This is becasue FeedTwit sends any Twitter messages to you as a direct message. So, if you’ve set up your phone to receive texts, all your replies will be sent to you as well.
All that you need to do to get your twitter replies as texts is:
- Go to Twitter and follow @FeedTwit
- Take the password you will receive (by direct message) and enter it at the FeedTwit homepage
- Login and tell FeedTwit you want your replies to be sent to you as direct messages
- Get your replies as Twitter texts
So visit Twitter and follow @feedtwit. Once you sign in you will begin receiving your Twitter texts.
