GetMileage (ver. 0.25)
This is the long-awaited program that will allow you to access your Mileage data from your desktop computer. This program will convert your Mileage database into a readable file that can be viewed in any web-browser, or editable in almost any word-processor or spreadsheet program.

This program has been written in the Java programming language, which will allow it to run on ANY operating system, provided you have downloaded and installed the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) appropriate to your operating system. Get it from the Java web site (www.java.com). Follow the installation directions at the web site to install the JRE.

Ver 0.25 will not run on my machine. WindowsXP SP2, with the latest java updates. I ran 0.21 to check the version I had installed, downloaded 0.25, extracted it from the .zip file, and tried to run it, less than 5 minutes after running V 0.21 successfully. I get an error dialog, “Cannot find main class”, and the program exits. I downloaded the newest java RTE and installed it, but the problem persists. 0.21 runs, 0.25 will not.

Okay, I figured the problem out. I created the GetMileage program with the absolute latest version of Java. The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) generally available isn’t as up to date as the verson I wrote GetMileage on. In other words, you need the ABSOLUTE latest version of the JRE, which you can get at:
